enior Software Engineer – Contract Position- Auckland
Our customer, a global leader in payment-processing and financial services is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to work on a 12-month contract. Working on-site at their end customer, this role will give you the opportunity to work with two major financial services organisations to deliver various cards and payments projects.
In this role, you will be a key member of a highly agile and expert technical Squad working to provide technical leadership and expertise across the client’s digital and mobile applications teams to deliver outcomes and deployments that are seamless. You will have the opportunity to partner closely with business unit senior leadership teams to deliver on the strategy and roadmap for continuous business and technology growth and improvement of customer outcomes and experiences.

Work alongside a Service / Product Owner to drive the Agile Squad and leading an agile mindset across teams to drive continued transformation
Provide technical leadership and expertise across the client’s digital and mobile applications teams to deliver outcomes and deployments that are seamless
Complete Development activities
Estimate, oversee and contribute to technical implementation
Communicate the final and agreed technical design with all relevant groups and stakeholders
Prioritising and refining the backlog
Provide oversight to ensure alignment with agile/ scrum practices.
5+ years of Software Development or Engineering / Architecture experience
Knowledge - background in cards & payments within the banking and financial services industry
Experience in the digital applications & mobile applications– IOS, Android applications.
Experience in developing complex commercial solutions using relevant technologies.
Excellent (diplomatic) stakeholder / relationship management skills – ability to influence, understand correct processes & navigate through them
Strong customer/commercial acumen – “why are we doing this?” “What value are we creating?”
